Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMED5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMED5 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TMED5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMED5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where TMED5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
