Across TCGA patient cohorts, TMC5 mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 53 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMC5-associated genes across cancer lineages are TFRC, p38-MAPK_pT180_Y182, and PKC-b-II_pS660. Each is linked with TMC5 in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMC5-to-partner and partner-to-TMC5 results are reported.
