Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TM7SF2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TM7SF2 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher TM7SF2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TM7SF2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THCA, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where TM7SF2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
