Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TM6SF1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TM6SF1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TM6SF1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TM6SF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LSCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where TM6SF1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
