Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TM4SF1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TM4SF1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TM4SF1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TM4SF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and KICH are the cancer types where TM4SF1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
