Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TKT mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TKT data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TKT mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TKT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, COAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where TKT mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
