Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMP2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TIMP2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher TIMP2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMP2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LGG, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where TIMP2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
