Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMM8A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TIMM8A data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TIMM8A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMM8A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where TIMM8A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
