Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMM17B RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TIMM17B data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher TIMM17B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMM17B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and SCLC show a favorable association.

KICH, LIHC, and OV are the cancer types where TIMM17B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
