Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TIMM17B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TIMM17B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher TIMM17B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TIMM17B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRC and SKCM are the cancer types where TIMM17B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
