Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, THSD7B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of THSD7B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where THSD7B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types THSD7B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, BRCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where THSD7B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
