THSD7A

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, THSD7A RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of THSD7A’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where THSD7A RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types THSD7A is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and UCEC are the cancer types where THSD7A tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
