Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, THBS4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated THBS4 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher THBS4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated THBS4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and HNSC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where THBS4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
