Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, THAP3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated THAP3 data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher THAP3 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated THAP3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where THAP3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
