Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, THA1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of THA1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where THA1P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types THA1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KICH, and THCA are the cancer types where THA1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
