Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TGFBR2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TGFBR2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TGFBR2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TGFBR2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and PAAD are the cancer types where TGFBR2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
