Across TCGA patient cohorts, TGFBI protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 21,358 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TGFBI-associated genes across cancer lineages are ACTA2, FN1, and COL5A1. Each is linked with TGFBI in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TGFBI-to-partner and partner-to-TGFBI results are reported.
