Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TFAP2E Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TFAP2E data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TFAP2E Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TFAP2E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM and UCEC are the cancer types where TFAP2E Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
