Across TCGA patient cohorts, TFAM mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 15 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TFAM-associated genes across cancer lineages are eEF2, EGFR_pY1068, and JNK_pT183_Y185. Each is linked with TFAM in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TFAM-to-partner and partner-to-TFAM results are reported.
