Across TCGA patient cohorts, TERT mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 22 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TERT-associated genes across cancer lineages are TIGAR, ATM, and NF2. Each is linked with TERT in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TERT-to-partner and partner-to-TERT results are reported.
