Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TEK mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TEK data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TEK mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TEK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, CCRCC, and GBM are the cancer types where TEK mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
