Across TCGA cell cohorts, TEFM RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,068 significant associations in total. BLOOD_Lymphoma shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TEFM-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of mitochondrial gene expression, Regulation of mitochondrial transcription, and Protein localization to chromosome, centromeric region. Each is linked with TEFM in more than 17 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TEFM-to-partner and partner-to-TEFM results are reported.
