Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TCEAL8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TCEAL8 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TCEAL8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TCEAL8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where TCEAL8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
