Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D23 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TBC1D23 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher TBC1D23 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBC1D23 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and UCEC show a favorable association.

GBM, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where TBC1D23 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
