Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D22A RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TBC1D22A data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher TBC1D22A RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBC1D22A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and ESCA show a favorable association.

SCLC, OV, and LIHC are the cancer types where TBC1D22A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
