Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TBC1D20 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TBC1D20 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TBC1D20 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TBC1D20 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and HNSC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, PDAC, and LSCC are the cancer types where TBC1D20 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
