Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAT-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TAT-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher TAT-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAT-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and LIHC show a favorable association.

MESO, LIHC, and PAAD are the cancer types where TAT-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
