Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAS2R50 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAS2R50 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TAS2R50 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAS2R50 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, SCLC, and SKCM are the cancer types where TAS2R50 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
