Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAS2R30 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TAS2R30’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where TAS2R30 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TAS2R30 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, STAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where TAS2R30 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
