Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAS1R2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TAS1R2 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher TAS1R2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAS1R2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and CESC show a favorable association.
KIRP, DLBC, and LUAD are the cancer types where TAS1R2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
