Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAGLN3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAGLN3 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TAGLN3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAGLN3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, ACC, and UCEC are the cancer types where TAGLN3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
