Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAFA1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAFA1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher TAFA1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAFA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where TAFA1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
