Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF9B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF9B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher TAF9B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF9B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KICH, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where TAF9B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
