Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF9B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF9B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher TAF9B mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF9B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where TAF9B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
