Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF9 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TAF9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, ESCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where TAF9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
