Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF4B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF4B data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher TAF4B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF4B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, BRCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where TAF4B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
