Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TAF4 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and GBM show a favorable association.
LUAD, GBM, and UCEC are the cancer types where TAF4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
