Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TAF12 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TAF12 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TAF12 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TAF12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and CCRCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where TAF12 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
