Across TCGA patient cohorts, SVIL protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 15,732 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.
The most reproducible SVIL-associated genes across cancer lineages are ASPN, ACTA2, and SPARC. Each is linked with SVIL in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SVIL-to-partner and partner-to-SVIL results are reported.
