Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SVIL-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SVIL-AS1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher SVIL-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SVIL-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LGG show a favorable association.

CESC, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SVIL-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
