Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SVBP mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SVBP data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SVBP mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SVBP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SVBP mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
