Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SUMO2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SUMO2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher SUMO2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SUMO2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD and LUAD are the cancer types where SUMO2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
