Across TCGA cell cohorts, SUMO1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 2,059 significant associations in total. OESOPHAGUS shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible SUMO1-associated genes across cancer lineages are FAM136A, HSPD1, and ANAPC1. Each is linked with SUMO1 in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both SUMO1-to-partner and partner-to-SUMO1 results are reported.
