Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SULT1C4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SULT1C4 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SULT1C4 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SULT1C4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
CCRCC and LUAD are the cancer types where SULT1C4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
