Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SULT1A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SULT1A2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SULT1A2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SULT1A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC and SKCM are the cancer types where SULT1A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
