Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SULT1A1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SULT1A1 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher SULT1A1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SULT1A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where SULT1A1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
