Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STXBP5L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STXBP5L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher STXBP5L mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STXBP5L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and GBM show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LUAD, and GBM are the cancer types where STXBP5L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
