Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STX8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated STX8 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher STX8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STX8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where STX8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
