Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STX16 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated STX16 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher STX16 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STX16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRC, LIHC, and LGG are the cancer types where STX16 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
