Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, STK38L RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated STK38L data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher STK38L RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated STK38L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.
LGG, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where STK38L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
